SGF Advocates for Peaceful Co-Existence in Nigeria
The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), George Akume, recently made a passionate call for Nigerians to embrace peaceful co-existence and unity. Speaking at the book launch of the late Maureen Mimidoo Tarka Fateh in Abuja, the SGF emphasized the need for Nigerians to come together as one family and celebrate the unity that once existed in the country.
A Call for Unity and Celebration
George Akume highlighted the importance of reviving the spirit of unity and togetherness that characterized Nigeria in the past. He stressed the need to rekindle the old system of education, which promotes unity and celebrates the country’s rich history. According to the SGF, Maureen Tarka Fateh, the late author of the book being celebrated, was a shining example of a woman who epitomized love, respect, and solidarity among Nigerians.
“We must learn to show respect, love, and solidarity as a family,” Akume stated. “Nobody is perfect, and we may fail each other at times, but forgiveness and understanding are crucial for the continuity of our nation.”
A Legacy of Service and Philanthropy
Maureen Tarka Fateh was not only an educated woman but also a dedicated philanthropist who devoted her life to serving others. Her husband, Ape Fateh, commended her unwavering commitment to helping those in need and serving God’s purpose on earth. “She was a sweet mother and a great loss for all of us,” Ape Fateh remarked. “Maureen’s legacy of caring for the less privileged, supporting widows, and aiding the sick exemplifies the true essence of selflessness and compassion.”
Honoring a Great Woman
George Akume praised Maureen Tarka Fateh for her outstanding contributions to society and the impact she had on everyone she encountered. He emphasized the importance of celebrating her life and legacy, as she represented the values of generosity, kindness, and service to others.
“This is not a solemn occasion; it is a time to rejoice and honor a remarkable woman,” Akume expressed. “Maureen’s selfless deeds and dedication to helping others should serve as an inspiration for all Nigerians to come together in unity and harmony.”
In conclusion, the call for peaceful co-existence and unity in Nigeria is a timely reminder of the values that bind us as a nation. By emulating the selflessness and compassion of individuals like Maureen Tarka Fateh, we can strive to create a more harmonious and inclusive society for all. Let us honor her memory by working together to build a future where peace, love, and solidarity reign supreme.
